Virginia Wesleyan Students to Host Business Conference November 18-22

On-campus presentations and interactive panels will embrace the theme, "Business: Behind the Scenes"

Virginia Wesleyan University will host its semi-annual student-led business conference November 18-22, inviting community members to participate in free presentations and interactive panels that embrace the fall 2019 theme, "Business: Behind the Scenes."

Branded the Marlin Prestige, the conference is the culmination of months of hard work by students in the VWU business course, "Principles of Management." Students coordinate all aspects of the event, exercising key management skills like product development, networking, and project and financial planning.

Daily activities include the popular "Shark Tank" competition, which closely mirrors the popular ABC television series, as well as presentations and networking events. Guest speakers include:
