Virginia Wesleyan College's annual Commencement ceremonies are held at the end of spring semester. These ceremonies bring together the College community to mark the achievement of degrees and for graduating students to be recognized and celebrated.
To participate in Commencement, students must submit an application for graduation via the Registrar (available on WebAdvisor). December graduates from the previous semester are eligible to participate in May Commencement.
Location/Seating: Commencement is held the Convocation Center inside the Jane P. Batten Student Center on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan College (Campus Map/Parking). Tickets may be required based on the size of the graduating class and expected guests.

A Baccalaureate service will take place at Haygood United Methodist Church (4713 Haygood Rd., Virginia Beach) with guest speaker Rev. Susan Pendleton Jones, a 1980 VWC graduate and senior fellow of the Institute for Faith and Learning at Baylor University. A prelude concert will be held by the SOAR Worship Team and Gospel Choir at 5:30 p.m. and a reception will follow the service.

Due to safety specifications, tickets are required for all adult guests planning to attend Virginia Wesleyan's Commencement Ceremony. Up to seven Commencement tickets are available to each graduating senior. More
