Programs and Projects
The Women's Resource Center sponsors a wide array of programming, such as annual educational and social events for Women's History Month and International Women's Day. The Center also sponsors interactive workshops for Virginia Wesleyan students, on topics such as career and interview prep, college sexuality and risky sexual behavior, and sexual assault awareness. In addition, the Center provides programming related to issues of diversity, such as town hall discussions on reproductive justice and race, and interactive activities that address difference and inclusion.
Future programming will also include training workshops for faculty, staff, and students on topics like how to be an LGBT ally and how to create safe spaces on campus. The Women's Resource Center has also hosted the annual "Works in Progress" conference, a regional interdisciplinary conference of feminist scholarship, twice in recent years.
