Master of Business Administration (MBA)
The Master of Business Administration prepares professionals for career enhancement and personal development in the high-tech, twenty-first century global marketplace. The program seeks to develop leaders committed to creating sustainable, social, environmental, and economic value through effective and responsive business practices.
To provide this unique approach to business education for a worldwide audience, the complete ten-course program is offered in a participative online learning environment. The courses will be delivered by full-time faculty in collaboration with highly qualified industry adjuncts who bring exceptional expertise and experience in vital areas. Students may enroll on either a full-time or a part-time basis. Courses are taught in traditional semester-long terms to promote student learning, and the course of study can be completed in as few as 12 months.

First, the program combines a practical business education with a commitment to the Principles of Responsible Management Education.
Second, the program provides students with the skills and knowledge to function well in a global economy which is increasingly characterized by integrative, quickly changing market forces and business functions.
Third, the program equips leaders with a clear knowledge of advanced management practices which incorporate traditional frameworks from accounting, economics, and social sciences to make realistic and financially rewarding decisions in areas such as supply chain management, marketing, and strategic planning,.
Fourth, since the need for ethical practices in global commerce demands innovative and integrative systems, a recurring theme throughout the program is creating and supporting sustainable supply chain systems.
Master of Arts in Education (MAEd)
Virginia Wesleyan University offers a Master of Arts in Education Program leading to initial licensure in one of 13 secondary or PreK-12 endorsement areas to prepare teachers who will inspire a love for learning among their students and in the communities they will serve.
Students who have completed a bachelor's degree at VWU in one of the approved secondary or PreK-12 endorsement areas are eligible to seek admission to the M.A. Ed. Program offered by the Education Department. Students who want to be teachers in one of these endorsement areas are encouraged to apply as early as their junior year.
Central to the M.A. Ed. Program in Secondary and PreK-12 Education, which begins each Summer, are multiple opportunities for field work in secondary or PreK-12 education settings that culminate with a 10-12-week student teaching experience in the Spring. Program candidates will learn through predominantly face-to-face classroom experiences, but will also be exposed to hybrid and online learning experiences to prepare them for the changing education landscape of the 21st Century.
Additional highlights of the program include coursework in cognition and human development, exceptional student populations to include special needs as well as gifted and talented, and collaborating with families and communities. The course of study will be staffed by full-time faculty and in collaboration with highly qualified public school personnel who bring exceptional expertise and experience in vital areas. The M.A. Ed. Program must be completed on a full-time basis.
