Marlin Summer Sports Camps

Virginia Welseyan Athletics offers unique opportunites for youth athletes of all skill levels to improve their skills and have a great time. Send them to Virginia Wesleyan for some fun and fundamentals at one of the sports camps located at the University. Marlin camps feature some of the best college coaches in the country in addition to a host of talented college athletes and some of the finest athletic facilities in NCAA Division III. Opportunities available for male and female athletes of various ages in a variety of sports including: baseball, basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, softball and volleyball.

YMCA Camp Red Feather

Through a longstanding partnership with the YMCA, each summer the Virginia Wesleyan campus welcomes school age day campers for outdoor fun, activties and learning as part of YMCA Camp Red Feather. In 2017, YMCA staff and campers began using the new Blocker Youth Center, recently constructed on the VWU campus near the Wilson Arboretum. Spotlight Theatre Camp

Spotlight Productions hosts annual theatre camps on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan. Staff of trained educational professionals help develop every child's natural talent, self-confidence, and self-esteem in a non-stressful environment. No auditions required to attend. A full musical production is mounted during each camp. Sessions for 2017 include June 19-23 for ages 8-12 (production of The Phantom Tolbooth Junior on June 23) and July 3-14 for ages 13-17 (production of Damn Yankees on July 14).

Sacred Music Summer Conference: A Worship & Arts Event

Forty-five workshop sessions for musicians, worship leaders, and clergy led by 16 nationally recognized experts in their field will take place July 24-29 on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan College. Evening events include chapel, festival worship, a hymn festival, and choral concert of great sacred classics and modern works. Continuing education units or academic credits available. Virginia Private College Week

The 2017 Virginia Private College Week will be held July 24-29 at 24 outstanding Virginia private colleges and universities including Virginia Wesleyan. Participating institutions will host two daily programs for rising juniors and seniors -- and their families. Prospective transfer students are also invited. The program includes a campus tour and an information session about admissions, financial aid, and academic/extracurricular programs. Sessions are offered Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., and at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

The 2018 Robert F. Boyd Institute will be held on Monday, March 19-Tuesday, March 20. The guest speaker will be Tod Bolsinger. Registration will open in the fall 2017 and will cost $75/person.
