Assistant Professor of Management, Business & Economics
VIRGINIA WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY (www.vwu.edu) invites applications for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Management, Business, & Economics, with particular expertise in finance and strategic management. A Ph.D. or D.B.A in management or a closely related field is required. The position begins in fall 2018.
Virginia Wesleyan is Coastal Virginia’s premier private, national liberal arts university, offering both graduate (MBA, MAEd) and undergraduate programs in a traditional on-campus setting and online. VWU offers 35 undergraduate majors, 30 minors and seven pre-professional programs. Affiliated with the United Methodist Church and located on a 300-acre wooded campus in Virginia Beach, the University enrolls approximately 1,500 students.
The University seeks a candidate with a strong commitment to teaching, student advising, and research. Teaching responsibilities will include online graduate level courses in finance and strategic management in the MBA program, as well as selected undergraduate courses. The successful candidate is expected to establish and maintain an active research program. The salary is competitive, and the University offers an attractive benefits package.
