Manager of User Support
The Manager of User Support serves as part of the Office of Information Technology’s leadership team. This position is responsible the overall operation of the university help desk and support services including managing the help desk ticketing system, providing phone and deskside support for faculty, staff, and students, proactively monitoring hardware and software and responding as necessary to provide an acceptable service level, and ensuring proper delegation of help desk tickets. This position supervises IT Support Specialists and work study students.

Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in IT related field or equivalent experience; six years hardware and software configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting as part of an enterprise technical team; experience managing others; be able to handle and work with interruptions during normal office hours; possess excellent written and verbal communication skills are required and have good interpersonal skills; and can interact with people in a warm, professional manner, learn new technologies, and maintain confidentiality and respond to changes in a timely manner.
