Student Accounts Receivable

 

The Cashier’s responsibilities include posting of funds to student accounts, collection, answering telephone and written inquiries regarding student billing.  The Cashier is responsible to conduct all front desk related tasks in the Finance Office.   This position requires considerable customer service support to students and parents. The Cashier is also responsible to interact with various campus offices.  This position requires the ability to understand information systems.  The individual chosen for this position must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.  An Associate degree or equivalent is preferred for the Cashier position.  The following are some of the duties performed by the Cashier on a daily basis:

  • Manage the flow of front desk traffic
  • Assist students, parents, staff and other visitors at the front desk
  • Manage information (mail, email and telephone requests)
  • Assist students with self-service options
  • Review accounts and make necessary adjustments as needed
  • Post all student payments
  • Process online student  refunds
  • Process and reconcile petty cash drawer
  • Prepare daily close-out cash receipt reconciliation
  • Daily check scanning for deposit
  • Maintain the scanning and filing of documents
