Advanced Scholars Institute

Academically gifted high school juniors and seniors are invited to take college courses on the Virginia Wesleyan University campus. Upon successful completion of the coursework, students receive a college transcript reflecting their achievement.

Benefits of participating in the Advanced Scholars Institute:

• Strengthen your credentials to stand out from the crowd: Admission committees often make difficult decisions from among many similarly well qualified applicants. Virginia Wesleyan University credit will make your application folder stand out from the crowd. 
• Earn college credit to get ahead of the game: Virginia Wesleyan University coursework will be accepted as transfer credit by the four year institution at which you decide to earn your bachelor’s degree. By earning college level credit before completing high school, you may be able to graduate college early.
