Gonsalves-Jackson received her Ph.D. from the Florida Institute of Technology. A predoctoral fellow studying Panama Mollusks, she worked at Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg, Va., where she attended as an undergraduate. She will be teaching courses and labs in biology, oceanograpy and invertebrate zoology.
