Travis Malone received his PhD in Theatre from Bowling Green State University. As a theatre and film professional, Travis has directed and acted in productions across the country. Prior to his doctoral work, Travis worked in Los Angeles writing television commercials for Disney, Fox, and Rhino Records; producing music videos for Disney; and developing creative content for DVDs and trade show promotions. Travis continues to act and direct in the Hampton Roads area.  Travis' research main area of research is in the intersection between film and theatre, specifically in how productions and artists negotiate the differences in perfromance and production styles between the two. In addition, Travis teaches courses in Technical Theatre, Acting, Acting for the Camera, Directing, Voice and Movement, and Theatre History.
