Virginia Wesleyan University's annual Commencement Ceremonies bring the University community together to recognize and celebrate graduating students and to mark the achievement of degrees.
December Graduates’ Recognition Ceremony and Reception

All students who are candidates to graduate in December 2018 will be recognized and honored on Sunday, December 9, at 2 p.m. in the Convocation Hall of the Jane P. Batten Student Center. Students who have the potential to complete graduation requirements by the end of the current semester received an invitation and were asked to RSVP to email@example.com or 757.455.3222. Family and friends are invited to attend and do not need tickets.

Conferral of Degrees
Degrees will not be conferred at the time of the event; diplomas will be available in January 2019. While this is not an official commencement ceremony, students who are eligible to graduate in December are invited to participate in both this event and walk in Virginia Wesleyan University's Commencement Ceremony on May 18, 2019.
The recommended attire for guests and honorees is business casual. Regalia (caps and gowns) will not be worn by students or faculty.
There will be a light reception directly following the ceremony in the Pearce Hospitality Suite in the Batten Student Center.
