This research project addresses how the international community is battling “barbaric” practices such as female genital mutilation (FGM), honor killings, and rape. There are many approaches to combating these types of traditions that are typically considered to be human right abuses. This project explores these possibilities while focusing on the use of general education as the most effective way to stop these practices.
