The purpose of The Helping Hand is to create a functional crowd-funding source for people in need of help via monetary donations. The approach is to create a secure and functioning site that uses md5 encryption to ensure sensitive user information is safe and secure. The site allows members to register a user account, which gives them the option to post their cause or donate to others. Similar websites such as kickstarter or gofundme specialize in crowd-funding for the purpose of investing in a product or brand. The Helping Hand is developed for investing in people and helping them through hard times. The Helping Hand was completed using HTML, PHP, CSS, and MySQL.
