Mindfulness: Impacts of Health and Study Habits

Mindfulness is a growing area of interest in psychological research. Mindfulness also has an impact on many things, including health and an individual’s study habits. In this study, I predicted that mindfulness would in fact have a positive impact on an individual’s health and study habits. A total of 107 undergraduate students (19 males, 85 females) participated in this study. Correlations revealed a significant relationship between mindfulness and an individual’s health and their study habits. An Independent-samples T-test was run to see if yoga had any major impact on an individual’s mindfulness, and there were no significant findings. This study’s results support previous research in regard to mindfulness being beneficial.
