Abstract

Marie Antoinette was beheaded in 1793 by revolutionaries. Marie Antoinette who was married to Louis XVI the King of France. During the French Revolution Marie Antoinette was attacked through the media. She was accused of draining the french economy, treason and sex scandals. She became unpopular and most talked about. Marie Antoinette could not understand why so many people disliked her. The primary focus of this paper will be on Marie Antoinette and her actions as queen. Actions such as who she spent her days with, what she spent money on, what hobbies she picked up, her relationship with Louis XVI and her kids. Rumors began to spread about her life and were used to question her intentions and her influence over the king.
