Abstract

This research project involves deciphering whether it is best to be an independent entity in the field of computer science or to work for a larger corporation. It can easily be argued that computer science is one of the easiest fields in which to find autonomy yet is one of the easiest fields to quickly become hired by a corporation at a very generous wage. This has much to do with technology being the craze of today\'s businesses. The goal is to show the pros and cons of each while trying to obtain accounts as a sole proprietor as well as putting in resumes and going to job fairs to find out what kind of positions and salaries may be offered.
