In honor of Women's History Month, VWU's Women's Resource Center organized a "Women in the Arts" panel discussion on March 14. Three accomplished professional women from our community shared their insights, experiences and wisdom with students, faculty and staff during an hour-long session in the Greer Environmental Sciences Center. VWU Establishes National Bonner Leaders Program
President Scott D. Miller has announced the establishment of the National Bonner Leaders Program at Virginia Wesleyan University. The program is an intensive, four-year community leadership opportunity that educates, equips, and inspires students to engage in our local community and beyond through a partnership with the Corella and Bertram F. Bonner Foundation. More

Bob Blog: Mascot Madness
During March Madness, VWU mascot Bob Marlin reflects on his own creation: It all started back in 1963. Inspired by my legendary fighting fish lineage, the University's very first Board of Trustees adopted the marlin as VWU's mascot. It wasn't until 2003 that the "Bob Marlin" as you know me, with my colorful mischief-making, pompom-swiping persona, was born. You see, I am a student invention, the result of a class project assigned by recreation and leisure studies professor Doug Kennedy.   More

Dr. Scott Kisker To Serve as Keynote
Speaker for 2019 Robert F. Boyd Institute

The 2019 Robert F. Boyd Institute will take place on campus April 8-9, 2019, in the Susan S. Goode Fine and Performing Arts Center. This year's seminar features keynote speaker, Dr. Scott Kisker, professor of the history of Christianity at the United Theological Seminary. More

Norfolk high school students reading 'The Bluest Eye' break down racism;" Professor of History Dan Margolies' new book, "The Extraterritoriality of Law" was featured on  International Law Reporter; College Scholarship Fair at Virginia Wesleyan University on WTKR.com.
