Batten Honors College Virtual Information Session
Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 7pm EST
The Batten Honors College is a selective program for academically gifted students, with a focus on leadership, global issues, and environmental sustainability. The BHC is open to students from all majors and allows them to participate in interdisciplinary courses, internships, undergraduate research, study away, and fieldwork. Each year, 40 first-year students are admitted into the BHC under a separate application process. Twenty of those students will be full-tuition Batten Fellows, and 20 are two-thirds tuition Shumadine Scholars. All BHC students will receive a fully funded study away course to places like Spain, Peru, South Africa, and Iceland.
During this virtual information session via Zoom, you will hear from current BHC students, professors, and receive a general overview of the Honors curriculum, program advantages, and application process, as well as information about Virginia Wesleyan University. There will be a Q&A Session at the end.
