New Students Inducted into Sociology and Criminal Justice Honor Societies
Joint ceremony held for Alpha Kappa Delta and Alpha Phi Sigma student inductions.

Norfolk/Virginia Beach, Va. - Virginia Wesleyan College recently inducted a total of eight new honor students into Alpha Kappa Delta, the international sociology honor society and Alpha Phi Sigma, the national criminal justice honor society.
To become a member of Alpha Kappa Delta, students must have an overall GPA of 3.0, maintain a 3.0 GPA in sociology courses, must have completed at least four sociology courses prior to initiation, and officially declare sociology as their major or demonstrate a serious interest in the field.
New student member inducted included Elizabeth Ayres Griffith ’11 from Princess Anne, Md.
Membership into Alpha Phi Sigma is by recommendation only. Students must also complete one-third of their hours required for graduation, must have a minimum of 3.2 overall GPA, maintain a minimum 3.2 GPA in criminal justice courses and declare criminal justice as their major or minor.
