Beautiful weather is on the schedule for this year's festivities

Homecoming 2017 AdWith highs in the 80s and little chance of showers, this year’s Homecoming and Family Weekend is looking sunny and bright. The festivities began with Marlin Spirit Day and Wesleyan Wednesday and continue throughout the weekend with an exciting line up of events. Bring your Marlin spirit and join in the fun!

Homecoming and Family Weekend Schedule of Events:

Friday, October 6

2:30 - 3:30 p.m. Homecoming Parade
Line the sidewalks to watch an array of participants from student organizations, clubs and athletic teams to a faculty and staff pet parade.

6:00 - 9:00 p.m. VWU Friday Night Flights - Annual Alumni Social
Shorebreak Pizza, Sports and Billiards
Appetizers on us! Exclusive beverage deals for all Alumni and their guests courtesy of co-owner JB Maas '01

7:30 p.m. Homecoming Performing Arts Showcase Hofheimer Theatre, Fine Arts Building
Join us for a presentation of performances by all areas of the Performing Arts!

12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Homecoming Tailgate Trinder Center Lawn
Join us as we celebrate Homecoming! There will be food and beverages for purchase from J&K Grill, NY Souvlaki, Twin Tiger, Kona Ice, and Hoffman Beverages. Students can join the fun outside or use their meal plan in the Boyd Dining Center. Mingle with your favorite faculty members at the Faculty Tent while the kiddos enjoy the inflatable bounce house. Astro DJ will keep the party going with great music and entertainment while the Chrysler Museum Mobile Glass Studio will give on-site glass-blowing demonstrations. And don't forget! Our inaugural Chili Cook Off  tasting and award announcement will start at 1:00 p.m. There's so much for the Marlin community to enjoy all afternoon long! We can't wait to see you there!
