Batten Center Pool
The setting for aquatics at VWU is a 25 yard, 8 lane competition pool. The swimming pool serves a wide variety of activities, including lap swim, recreational exercise, and planned activities. It is also home to the Marlin collegiate varsity swim team. There is also a hot tub in the pool area and two saunas in the locker rooms.

Campus Recreation Equipment Rentals
Basketballs, footballs, hockey sticks, softballs, volleyballs, racquetball racquets, frisbees, soccer balls, tennis racquets, table tennis and billiards sets and many more items are available for you to check out and use during operating hours. Equipment is available for checkout using your VWU issued ID card.
Disc golf
Virginia Wesleyan University's disc golf course features nine challenging holes totaling 2,000 yards.

Fitness Center
The Batten Fitness Center, covering a total of 5,000 square feet, offers endless opportunities for VWU community members to begin or continue their personal fitness quest. The center offers a variety of popular workout equipment from nationally recognized leaders in the fitness industry such as Matrix, Rouge, Precor, and Star Trac.

Lockers
Day use lockers are available in the student locker room adjacent to the Natatorium for student usage. Students must supply their own locks. Day use lockers may not be claimed overnight.
A limited number of faculty and staff lockers are available to be reserved for prolonged use. Day lockers for faculty and staff are also available in the faculty/staff locker room. For more information, contact Willie Harrell at ext. 3105.
Marlin Grille
The Marlin Grille features a variety of dining and snack options. Smoothies, flat breads, fresh made sandwiches, and other items are available for purchase. Students may also utilize their Marlin Dollars and meal equiv at the Grille. The Marlin Grille is managed by Sodexo.
Outdoor Rental Center
The Outdoor Rental Center can help you in making plans, acquiring maps and renting the necessary gear for many types of outdoor adventures. Outdoor rental items include tents, backpacks, sleeping bags, lanterns, flashlights, cook sets, kayak kits, coolers and much more.
Rock Climbing Wall
The Batten Center houses our 36 foot NICROS climbing wall, offering three sides of challenging routes for all skill levels.
