Residential Leadership

The Residential Leadership Program consists of Resident Assistants (RAs), student leaders that are placed on every floor of our residential buildings. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, attending a Fall and Spring training session, assisting in opening and closing of residence halls, attending weekly meetings, fostering a community through unique programs and daily engagement of residents. RAsĀ  participatE in a duty rotation within the assigned village, and various administrative tasks appropriate to the position.

Students selected for a position in the Residential Leadership Program will receive a $4,200 ( $2,100 per semester) tuition credit applied to their student account.

RAs are required to be full time students (registered for at least 12 credits), have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, and be in good standing with the University with no major conduct concerns. RAs are required to be a student at VWU for at least one year and it is preferred that you have residential living experience, but it is not required.

Students wishing to participate in the Residential Leadership program will apply during the spring semester.
