Professional Licensure Disclosures for Teacher Education Programs

In accordance with federal regulations, we must inform students about how our Teacher Education programs align with licensure requirements for employment in different states. Since licensure requirements vary from state to state, it's important to understand the specific requirements for the state in which you intend to work.

Does the Teacher Education Program at Virginia Wesleyan University meet licensure requirements in my state?

Our Teacher Education programs at Virginia Wesleyan University are approved by the Virginia Board of Education and CAEP (Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation) accredited. The programs are designed to meet the licensure requirements for the Commonwealth of Virginia. These programs include:
