Residence Halls

VWU is a residential institution. The residence halls and communities within those halls are where we want you to feel at home and develop relationships with others.

Bray Village
Bray Village is one of the two villages where the classrooms, faculty offices, and residence halls are located close together. Bray Village residence halls (Rose, Kellam, Old and Eggleston Halls) houses primarily first-year students. Rose Hall houses women only, Kellam Hall houses men only, and Old and Eggleston Halls are co-ed by floor. Each floor in these residence halls has community style showers and restrooms as well as laundry facilities.

Allen Village
Allen Village mirrors the setup of Bray Village with classrooms, faculty offices, and residence halls located together. Allen Village residence halls (Gum, Smithdeal, East, and Johnston Halls) house a mixture of first-year and returning students. If you wish to have a bit more privacy, East and Johnston Halls offer different floor plans such as double or triple rooms connected by a bathroom, a small number of double rooms offering a private bathroom, or a six-person single suite with a kitchenette in the suite. Gum and Smithdeal Halls offer double and some single rooms with community style showers and restrooms. Each floor in these residence halls offer laundry facilities.

Brock Village
Brock Village is nestled in the wooded area away from the center of campus. Brock Village residence halls (North, South, and Teagle Halls) and the apartments and townhouses house primarily returning students. You will find a variety of floor plans within Brock Village such as apartment style, suite style with kitchen access, and double rooms connected by a bathroom. The residence halls and the apartment building offer laundry facilities on each floor. Students living in the apartments will have a private bedroom with shared kitchen and living space. Townhouses in Brock Village serve as our dedicated Greek housing and provide students with a private bedroom with shared kitchen and living space. Laundry facilities are located inside each townhouse.
