Academic Requirements

VWU requires 128 or more credits to graduate and the satisfying of various other academic requirements. Below are links that outline and explain those requirements.

General Education Curriculum
The purpose of the general education curriculum is to introduce a broad range of academic pursuits and to teach students to integrate knowledge and use multiple perspectives to inform thinking and problem solving.

Majors and Minors
Students begin their academic careers undeclared and have until the end of their sophomore year to declare their major. Your Academic Advisor will work with you to help you choose a major.

Placement Guides

The courses you took in high school and your SAT or ACT test scores determine which courses you are eligible or required to take in certain areas. These placements are listed on your schedule. The guides below explain and define those placements.
