Virginia Wesleyan University and the Boston University School of Theology are committed to the education of future ordained and lay leaders of the United Methodist Church and its ecumenical partners and share the concern that students be able to progress toward careers in ministry with manageable costs and debts. This guaranteed admission program streamlines admission, with scholarship opportunities, to the Master of Divinity (MDiv) or Master of Theological Studies (MTS) degree programs at STH.

To be eligible, a fourth-year Virginia Wesleyan University student or undergraduate alumna/us must have maintained continuous enrollment at VWU for four years; have a minimum of a 3.0 on a 4.0 grade point scale for all undergraduate coursework; have successfully completed at VWU at least three four-credit courses in the Department of Religious Studies (or religiously-themed courses in the Departments of History and Philosophy) with at least a 3.0 overall grade point average in those courses; and complete the online STH application (fee waived) and all required documents by January 15 for admission to STH for fall of the same year.
