Tuition alone does not cover the many costs of our nationally ranked private liberal arts university. To maintain our competitive standing and improve the quality of the offerings, Virginia Wesleyan must rely on donor support to meet the following priorities:

• Student scholarships. More than 98 percent of our undergraduate students receive financial aid from endowments, the Excellence Fund and other sources. The University awards more than $10.5 million in scholarships to deserving and talented students.
  
• Academic and faculty resources. Attracting and retaining the finest faculty improves the educational experience and elevates the University's reputation.
• Facilities. New facilities and upgraded existing facilities for instruction, sports, recreation, and community service provide dynamic learning environments.
• Endowment. Building endowment for student scholarships, academic and athletic programs and faculty development insures that the University's future is financially secure.
