Perkins

If you borrowed a Federal Perkins loan at Virginia Wesleyan University you are required to complete an exit interview before you graduate or terminate your enrollment from the University.  To satisfy this requirement please follow the instructions.

Repayment

Virginia Wesleyan University contracts with Heartland ECSI to manage its Federal Perkins Loan program through repayment of your loan.  Heartland ECSI is the point of contact for all billing, payment, deferment, and cancellation activity.

Borrowers may view their Perkins Loan account, download forms, update their address and make online payments by logging into the Heartland ECSI Website.

Default

Default occurs when a Perkins borrower becomes past due on their loan account. The consequences of default are serious, and many options are available to assist you in repayment and avoid default. We strongly encourage you to contact Heartland ECSI if you are experiencing difficulty managing your payments.
