David's background includes a BS in Psychology and MS in College Student Development from Purdue University, after which he spent 3 years as a youth pastor before moving back into working in housing, taking a position as Assistant Director of Residential Life at Washington College on Maryland's scenic Eastern Shore, where he served for over 6 years. David also brings an international background as he was born and raised in Zambia, Central Africa. He cares deeply that students connect, grow, and leave VWU as fully prepared for life beyond these grounds as possible. He has a special interest in TCKs/TCIs (students who have spent a substantial number of their developmental years in a culture or cultures other than that of their parents).
