Stephanie Smaglo is Assistant Vice President for Marketing and Communications at Virginia Wesleyan University. Originally from Syracuse, New York, she earned her undergraduate degree in journalism and communication with a concentration in marketing from St. Bonaventure University's Jandoli School of Communication.
Stephanie has built her creative career from the ground up, wearing many hats along the way—from coffee grabber and errand runner to event planner, photographer, graphic designer, production wrangler, social media strategist, email marketer, website manager, copywriter, eagle-eye editor, team builder, and big thinker. In addition to the University's Office of Marketing and Communications, she has worked in the Office of the President managing executive-level communications for Virginia Wesleyan President Scott D. Miller. Her prior experience includes marketing roles for the American Red Cross in Norfolk, Stone Street Capital in Bethesda, Maryland, and the Summit Federal Credit Union in Rochester, New York.
When she's not working, Stephanie is busy being a mom and a wife and occasionally sneaks in a nap with her Boston Terrier. She and her family reside in Norfolk.
